He now runs Advantage Testing of Princeton and has done so for the past 17 years - he worked in AT's NYC office for 7 years before that. He also has a master's degree in Humane Education from the Institute for Humane Education (IHE) and in his spare time leads workshops for schools and communities in the area. IHE has options for graduate certificates, Master's Degrees, and now even Doctoral Degrees!
Olivia is a 14-year old freshman at the Pennington school. Having completed the YogaStream 200-hr. teacher training program, she is one of the youngest Yoga Alliance certified teachers in the country. She also loves to act. dance, and play lacrosse
Jonah will be 12 by the time we head off to England for this journey. He has a second degree black belt, so will be our security support for the trip!. In his spare time, Jonah loves to play basketball and ping pong.
The seed for this charity trek was planted for Lara and Mark in August of 1999.
We returned from a 3-month coast to coast charity bike ride across the USA that raised awareness and over $25,000 for Parkinson's Disease research and knew we would want to do another one down the road.
And then we got married, had two beautiful kids, and let our dreams of another adventure charity trek marinate for 15 years!
We originally planned to do this coast to coast trek as part of our honeymoon, but hoof and mouth disease closed down the region the summer of our honeymoon so we had to put our plans on hold. Now that Olivia and Jonah are old enough to join us, we're excited and ready to get back to our nomadic ways and support an organization that means so much to us.
